Who are we

What we use
Choice of Leather
We handpick our leathers and insist on maintaining full-grain leather to ensure lasting durability and natural look.
Environmental Friendly Vegetable-Tanning
Vegetable-tanned leather uses a traditional approach to tanning animal hides. In this method of tanning leather, tannins derived from plant material such as tree barks are used to draw out and replace the water molecules bound to the collagen protein in the hides. Through this process, leather is produced.
While this may sound simple, the entire process is actually quite complicated and requires a lot of expertise in leather tanning to create something of high quality. It also takes around 6-8 weeks before the leather is ready for use - which is a much longer process than chrome-tanning. Due to this complexity of this process, high-quality vegetable-tanned leather makes up less than 10% of the leather available in the market today.
For people who are looking for items that will last a lifetime, vegetable-tanned leather will be extremely suitable as the leather is very sturdy and durable as long as it is well taken cared of. At the same time, vegetable-tanned leather ages very gracefully, acquiring a patina from exposure to the sun, water and even just the oils on our hands. Just like a good pair of jeans, vegetable-tanned leather items will soften and age with the owner through use and time.
