Hihi my fellow leather crafters! It is time for me to bid you farewell 🥺, 3 months really passed by faster than I expected. It has been a worthwhile experience with leather crafting and I am glad to be able to understand another form of craft that I have not done before and experience it. Though I’m not the best at it, I still enjoyed using my own hands to make crafts that can be used in my daily live and I am lucky to be given multiple opportunity to design and put what I have in mind into reality 💕.
Other than making crafts, I got to see how the business works and take note of the details of starting a business. I learnt the basic skillsets for Photoshop and Illustrator that to me is valuable. I felt that it was an eye-opening experience that I would not have been able to learn in school 💻.
As a marketing intern I also learnt a lot on how marketing campaigns work and the things that a marketing intern need to be done. Since it is my first experience taking up a marketing role. I felt that marketing was not as simple as I expected it to be and consist of connecting and strategising on many aspects related to the business and really knowing your audience and goal 🏆. I also learnt that behind all the advertisements and posters comes with a lot of planning and collaborating 👩🏻💻.
Something I associate my experience with will be where mistakes turn into designs. There is no right or wrong in the world of design and although most of us have an expected standard of what we want the outcome to be, it usually does not come out as perfect as we imagine. BUT it is perfectly okay and normal because practice makes perfect and it is hand-made so that all that matters right
🤪?
I feel that any journey that we start as long as we are consistent in growing, we will always get better and there will always be new things we can learn. So, I hope that everyone of you that are journeying through something and has stopped, will continue and not stop halfway 🛤. With that being said, I definitely want to make more leather crafts in the future, maybe even venturing into other crafts and combining them into a new product in the future ✨.
Last but not least for anyone that has been reading my blogs, it was great being able to share my journey with you and I hope that you will be able to benefit from them❣️
